Dean Parker - Owner / Managing Director
After completing a Bachelor of Commerce and Science, Dean spent time working as an accountant and IT specialist but discovered his true passion in 2004 when he and his wife Elise renovated their first home. Fast forward to today and Dean has been involved in almost 300 real estate transactions worth almost $70 million dollars, including renovating 200+ dwellings and developing 105 new townhouses.
Elise Parker - Owner / Healthy Homes Specialist
Elise’s professional background led to a senior consultant role in the IT and accounting industry. Working her way up the corporate ladder she established a leadership position customizing accounting and finance systems for a variety of corporations. Elise has had in-depth experience establishing and integrating systems and procedures to ensure the most streamlined approach to financial and administration elements of the business.
Driven by a recent personal experience, Elise’s passion is also to ensure that the health and wellbeing of our residents is central to the company’s ethos and has now taken on the role of YSH’s Healthy Homes Specialist.
Elise’s role is to ensure each YSH property is guided by natural-based design principles and utilizes the healthiest home building products suitable, thus ensuring all future occupants well-being has been thoroughly considered.
Hunter Gore - Development Manager
Hunter has a strong understanding of town planning resulting from 2 years working as an Assistant Town Planner at Cardno, and a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning (1st Class Honours) from the University of Queensland. More recently, he was a commercial real estate agent for Cushman & Wakefield with a client base which included Mirvac, Growthpoint and Pradella. His interest and research in architectural design culminated in the publication of a journal article on visually appropriate medium density design in the Architectural Science Review. Through his varied background, Hunter is valuable to our development team.
Jodi Ott - Finance Manager
Jodi has extensive financial management experience in the Queensland public sector and has held a variety of senior management roles in budget, management accounting, taxation and project management. Prior to leaving Queensland Government Jodi was responsible for the financial and legal aspects of the Southbank Institute of Technology Redevelopment Project. This Project was Queensland's first social infrastructure project delivered as a Public Private Partnership. It involved complex financing and legal structures to manage a privately financed $250M four year construction project and a further thirty year maintenance and services contract. Jodi has a business degree, is a CPA and enjoys applying her financial, commercial and legal skills within a construction environment.
Bernie Kerwick - Finance Officer
Bernie has been involved in Property Development in both administrative & finance roles since the early 80's. With her family's Development business focusing primarily on the Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Darling Downs regions, Bernie brings to YSH a wealth of knowledge & experience in all aspects of Property Development. Bernie has extensive experience from dealing with construction and trade partnerships through to financial processing and record keeping.
Sara Taylor - Marketing & Customer Relations Manager
Sara is our Marketing & Customer Relations Manager. Her career in property spans across 10+ years giving her an extensive background in all things property. Over the last 5 years Sara has been responsible for the project marketing on multi-residential, house and land and master planned community developments. Sara enjoys the creative process backed by a systematic approach and this with her attention to detail gives her an advantaged professional edge. Her enthusiasm to provide a full-turn key customer service experience ensures that our clients will be her top priority.
Magi Tessieri - Portfolio Manager
Magi Tessieri is our energetic and vibrant Property Manager at YSH who is highly motivated and goal driven. Building lasting relationships with tenants, owners and creditors comes naturally as she genuinely enjoys dealing with people. With an extensive administration background and nearly 10 years industry experience, these skills combined drive her passion within the industry as a Property Manager. Magi’s number one goal is to make the process for both property investors and tenants a smooth and highly professional experience.
Nickie Gracie - Project & Administration Support
Nickie has been with the company since its inception, moving up from Victoria where she worked with Dean & Elise on their Victorian projects. Having had a family business in the construction industry and a keen interest in property, Nickie loves being part of the team that transforms old, under-performing property into well designed, functional homes. Nickie has had many roles as the company has expanded, but is currently working as Project & Administration Support on a part time basis.
